Electric Mowers Vs Push Behind Mowers

“Electric lawn mowers” have largely dominated the private homeowner market in terms of their selection as the mower type of choice. There are two main types within this category of mower. The cordless variety or with electric supply.

The latter is the more powerful but the former has the advantage of safety, added maneuverability and generally this type is lighter. This has been the case basically ever since their arrival onto the domestic market with numerous advantages making them an appealing choice to consumers. Amongst the obvious benefits are the ease of mowing with a choice of power-driven, adjustable speed or manual.

The other distinctive feature of these mowers is their start mechanism, ruling out the need for the frustration associated with the traditional recoil method. Generally speaking they provide greater ease and are reliable even over the most awkward of lawn surfaces, reducing time spent mowing and allowing people those few extra minutes to devote to other more important matters preoccupying their minds. For all these reason electrical lawn mowers have largely replaced the traditional push-behinds.

This is not to advocate solely for electric lawn mowers for there is certainly a place for push behinds with benefits in their usage also obvious. Namely:- cheaper initial outlay, no fuel costs, no pollution, reduced noise and health benefits – you push it!!! So how to they stack up? Well here’s a comparison table to simplify matters.
